Goodbye winter, hello spring! As the season changes, so does the fishing in beautiful Venice, LA. Here’s what you can expect from your chartered fishing trip as we welcome this new spring season.
For starters, let’s talk weather (we’ll get to the fish in a minute). What can we say, except that it’s darn near perfect with average temperatures in the low 70’s for the highs and low to mid 60’s for the lows. Sure, you can expect the occasional scattered shower (average rain chances are lowest in the spring), so it’s mostly nothing but beautiful, bright sunshine out in the deep blue sea.
Okay, now for the important part – the fish. If inshore fishing is more your speed, expect to find a nice variety of fish including speckled trout, flounder, redfish, drum, and sheepshead. If you’re going offshore, you’re in luck as the warmer months bring a greater variety of fish to Louisiana waters. Starting around April, expect to see blue and white marlin, grouper, cobia, blackfin tuna, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, mangrove snapper, dorado, and king mackerel.
A chartered fishing experience in Venice, LA is just what you need to officially get over the winter blues. It’s also the perfect destination for a spring break vacation, bachelor party, corporate event, or just an excuse to get the old gang together.
